New Adventures of a Weed Killer

I know, strange name for my opening blog.  But it occurred to me today as i walked barefoot through my front yard to reach the water spigot, that I have A LOT of weeds in my yard.  I am renting, so maintaining a perfect lawn isn’t high on my list, although being a gardener at heart it is hard to see it in such a state.  There are almost more weeds than grass.  But, there are flowers too, and some nice little trinkets we have found while playing in the mountains that adorn the yard, making it ours.  Then it hit me, this yard is a lot like my life…and I am the weed killer.  I have things that need to work better in my life, and emotions that I fall back on that no longer hold me up.  These are the weeds, and I’m working on getting rid of them, one by one.  The flowers and trinkets are my children, husband, family and friends.  They are my art and passions that bring me joy to create, and the everyday adventures that bring new meaning and love to my life.  So, I will give this a go, and we shall see where this journey takes us.
